Dr Linda Warren - OBC, MD, F.R.C.P.C., FACR., Clinical Professor, University of British Columbia
Dr. Linda Warren is a renowned radiologist and has distinguished herself as one of the driving forces behind the founding and continued excellence of the Screening Mammography Program of B.C. Dr. Warren's leadership resulted in a world-class screening program-North America's first which has since served as a model for jurisdictions around the world. Her personal efforts have in no small way contributed to British Columbia's breast cancer mortality becoming the lowest in Canada.
Dr. Warren is a clinical professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of British Columbia. In this role. she has been responsible for training most of the breast radiologist's currently practicing radiology in the province.
Dr. Warren has given more than 200 lectures across North America and around the world. Her attendance and participation at over 180 major meetings and workshops across Europe, Asia, Saudi Arabia. South America and North America keeps her in tune with the latest developments, benefits of which she brings back to her patients. Often quoted in the media. Dr. Warren has published over 100 original articles and served as the Editorial reviewer for the American Journal of Roentgenology and the Journal of Canadian Association of radiologists. Her continued efforts and advocacy and care other patients has been recognized with many awards including YWCA Woman of Distinction, Woman Entrepreneurs of Canada, Influential Women Award, BC College of Physicians and Surgeons Award of Excellence, BCMA Silver Medal of Service Award, UBC Medical Alumni Association Wallace Wilson Leadership Award , and invested in the Order of British Columbia.
